The Church of Christ Bible Chair is an Christain organization at Eastern Oklahoma State College. The Bible Chair is ran by John Kitchens. The building of the Bible Chair is off campus at 610 SW. 11th St., Wilburton, OK 74578. The Bible Chair has a lot of space for students to visit and there is air hockey with a few other games.
The Church of Christ defines itself as a non-denominational. Within this church, it focuses mainly on the New Testament. The organization abides by the motto “In all things doctrinal, we affirm unity; in all things of opinion, we grant liberty to every person; and in everything is love.”
“The goal for the Bible Chair this year is to offer to EOSC students a safe, wholesome
environment in which to relax, enjoy themselves, get to know one another, and to also give them the opportunity to explore Christianity,” John Kitchens, the Bible Chair Minister, said.
The Bible Chair wants to get to know church members and help them encounter Jesus daily. The organization wants to inform people about Christ and hopefully have them become Christains themselves. It also wants to improve its members experiences at Eastern.
