Eastern Oklahoma State College has been known for many things throughout the years. One of the most prominent is its outstanding Agriculture Division. With a record of the 2023 National Soil Judging Champions, 3rd High National Agribusiness Management Team, and several more accomplishments, Eastern Agriculture is a great part of it.
Not only is Eastern Agriculture exceptional for its competition teams, but it is a fantastic way to be involved on campus. Any students attending Eastern can join the Aggie Club, regardless of major. Aggie Club kicked off its year this past Tuesday with an annual cookout at the Bible Chair.
“We had a great turnout. It was nice to see so many new and returning faces,” Dean of Agriculture, Larriann Livingston said.
Aggie Club will have its next event on Aug. 29, 7 p.m. at the Goddard Building. They will be playing a fun game of water kickball. Anyone is welcome to attend. Also coming up, is the Aggie Club officer elections. These will be held on Sept. 5 in the E.E. Tourtellotte Student Center at 7 p.m.
Any due-paying member is eligible to run for a position. The officer positions open for election are secretary, reporter, treasurer, and three student government representatives. Officers organize and host events, both on and off campus, throughout the year. Anyone interested in this position must contact Mrs. Livingston before 5:00 p.m. on September 5th.
