On Aug. 23, Eastern Oklahoma State College hosted an ice cream social for students and faculty, which proved to be a great success in the intense heat of Oklahoma. The event, held in the Student Center Cafeteria between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., brought together soccer, basketball, faculty and many more by simply throwing free ice cream into the mix.
The social had the aim to build your own sundae as well as learn about student clubs and organizations that are available at Eastern. Clubs included Arts and Humanities, Aggie Club, School of Nursing, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and many more.
Students ate ice cream, and at the same time, clubs and organizations at Eastern had a platform to present themselves and what they were about.
“It’s nice to see so many people here, we should do more things like this,” Wynne Viera, a sophomore women’s soccer team member said.
The Student Life office has many activities planned for campus throughout the year, and they usually have weekly events that are open to all Eastern students.
The clubs and organizations on campus will also plan events that are more specific to their individual interest areas throughout the semester. For more information about any of the clubs and organizations here at Eastern, you can go to the EOSC website Home > Student Life > Student Activities.
