Feb. 27 was the Lady Mountaineers basketball game against Northeastern A&M at 5:30pm. The starters for the game were Tijanae Simmons, Deja Williams, Kenzie Ezekiel, Jaylann Myles and Kiera Davis. Williams and Ezekiel were the two main scorers of the night with 19 points and 16 points.
This was a very important game, because it determined who would advance to the first round of play-offs the following Wednesday, and they did. Eastern beat Northeastern A&M by 63 to 59.
Mar. 4 was the day of the first round of play-offs in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The Lady Mountaineers played against Northeastern A&M, the team they had previously beat in their last game. The starters for Eastern were Tijanae Simmons, Deja Williams, Kenzie Ezekiel, Jaylann Myles and Kiera Davis. Simmons and Williams were the two main scorers of the game with 24 points and 18 points.
Although the women played hard, they lost by 69 to 64.
