Eastern Oklahoma State College is beginning a new tradition this year – Food Trucks at the E. On Sept. 14, four unique food trucks came to the Wilburton campus. They were The Lamb and the Wolf, Hungry Lotus, Fry Daddy’s, and Unique Grazing.
The Lamb and the Wolf originates in Eufaula and offers a wide variety of Mediterranean food. They offer different types of pizza, gyros, appetizers, and desserts. They boast their O.G. Gyro, cooked vertically on a rotisserie and served with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and tzatziki.
The Hungry Lotus is an Asian Food and grill. They are based in McAlester. Some of their menu items include crab ragoons, broken rice with pork or chicken, and fried pork crispy rolls.
Next, Fry Daddy’s offers a variety of burgers, nachos, sandwiches, and fries. Their number one menu item is their Smash Burger. The Smash Burger is a ⅓ lb beef patty grilled with caramelized onions and American Cheese. Also, a fan favorite is the side of garlic fries with a cup of their ‘special sauce.’ This food truck is also based in McAester but comes to Wilburton every Thursday.
Finally, the last food truck at this month’s Food Trucks at the E is Unique Grazin’. Based out of Wilburton, this business specializes in charcuterie boards, but also offers sandwiches, delicious strawberry lemonades, and a variety of the popular freeze-dried candy.
The Food Trucks at the E will now be a monthly occurrence. It is open to all students, faculty, and the community. The next event will be Thursday, Oct. 12, from 11-2 p.m. The food trucks confirmed to come are Unique Grazin’, Hungry Lotus, Fry Daddy’s, Wonder Bar, The Pickin Kitchen, One in a Milner, and The Lamb & the Wolf.
